you can see and hear the chords of the middle part… those are not G and D like everybody thinks… in the past with the original LP you could pan the stereo and hear that guitar more clear, here on youtube is almost impossible to hear it; you could think it as a D sus4 but the bass is in E, so it’s eadg that goes to D; I saw a guy in a Page Plant concert making this guitar keeping the E string on air also; There’s also another guitar making the notes GF# one octave below so when everybody hear the G high and this G lower it’s easy to believe that this is a G chord (or a E minor 7) but it´s not. if you play it like I say with 2 guitars and the bass, it will sound exactly as it is… so one guitar makes this fourth chord eadg that goes to D Maj and the other one makes G to F# notes.. in the first part I missed the F# note agaf#… agca… agaf# but you can see the next chords which already explain. am I clear??

Inlaying Round Fret Markers

This video explains the process for inlaying round “dot” fret markers with a Forstner drill bit. A Forstner bit set is great to have in the shop because the bits have a nice center locating pin, they drill straight sides, cut cleanly, don’t walk like rounded drill bits, and make installing fret dots very easy. Step by step process explained for inlaying round fret dots from custom made plugs, though the same process can be used for any round dot type inlays.

Making Fret Markers

Making custom fret markers with a plug cutter is an easy way to add custom features to a guitar neck. It allows the maker to pick the exact color/species of wood to make the markers from, and gives more flexibility to the luthier. Step by step process explained for cutting custom markers.

Clearance Notch Saw

A nice little saw made for sawing the clearance slot where the string between the bridge and the bridge pin. Easily made from a few materials around most shops, and eliminates having to shove an arm through the sound hole to make the clearance cuts.

Bridge Drilling Guide

A bridge pin drilling guide is a really helpful tool that is easy to make and takes all the stress and frustration out of drilling accurately spaced holes in an acoustic guitar bridge. It’s made from a piece of hard wood, and it’s clamped in place to guide the drill bit to the correct position every time.
