But for 30-year-old Zephaniah Obagwa, who did not complete his education because of lacking school fees, that particular setback acted as a springboard for reaching higher goals in life. The Standard Seven dropout is now earning a decent living out of making and selling homemade guitars, from his rural home in Nyamira County.
