Ray Beattie Guitars, Jose Romanillos, Julian Bream Model. 2008

| July 16, 2011

Ray Beattie spanish classical. Swiss (fsc certified) AAA spruce top and inner bracings. Indian rosewood back, sides, bridge, head-plate. Headstock and rosette designed by Ray Beattie. I piece Japanese mother of pearl rosette with maple/olive/ebony purflings. Western red cedar neck (70 years old drying) re-enforced with three 6mm ebony bars. Grenadilla (South American hardwood) fingerboard. The cedar neck not only made the guitar lighter in weight, but transmitted softer tones yeilding a clear balanced attack across the range.
