As an artist and a very amateur guitarist, the idea of making my own instrument seems very appealing to me. The obvious choice is a cigar box guitar. This instrument was made out of necessity to create music when one couldn’t afford instruments. Kids and adults alike created their own instruments out of the materials on hand.

Continuing work on the neck of my first cigar box guitar build. I have two sizes of tuners and am still trying to decide which size to use. I am taking quite a bit of joy carving the neck and trying to detail out the headstock.

Covered a bit more ground with what little time I have to work on this project. I put sleeves in the end of the neck for the strings to thread though without cutting into the neck wood. I drilled the wholes for the tuners as well.
