Inlaying Round Fret Markers

This video explains the process for inlaying round “dot” fret markers with a Forstner drill bit. A Forstner bit set is great to have in the shop because the bits have a nice center locating pin, they drill straight sides, cut cleanly, don’t walk like rounded drill bits, and make installing fret dots very easy. Step by step process explained for inlaying round fret dots from custom made plugs, though the same process can be used for any round dot type inlays.
