Clare replied to Richard D. DeRoin’s discussion ‘ Variations in Tuning ‘ in the group Three string guitars I tuned AEA because I started GDG, but it was too floppy, my scale length was only 23″, so AEA sounded better and the tension felt right. If I go higher, I might bend and break my box!

MichaelS replied to Richard D. DeRoin’s discussion ‘ Variations in Tuning ‘ in the group Three string guitars Richard, I have one tuned Ebe, and one tuned AEA and I have tuned GDG originally. I have no idea what I am doing but I changed them from GDG because the box and string combo just sounded better in the other tunings.
